At-Home Respite

At - Home Respite services are designed to provide relief and support for families’ caring for individuals with developmental disabilities. Through programs like At-Home Respite, Weekend Recreation and After-School families are able to take a break from their caring role and attend to themselves. Respite services are available to individuals diagnosed with developmental disability. Each individual must have Medicaid and is enrolled in Medicaid Service Coordination, be HCBS Waiver eligible.

At-Home Respite provides temporary support and relief to our families as they go out and attend to themselves and errands or just to enjoy some time alone.

After-school Respite

Our After-school Respite follows the New York City Department of Education’s 10 month calendar from September through June. This service is provided to individuals between the ages of 7 and 21 who are enrolled in any NYC school. Our hours of operation are Monday - Friday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. with the exception of bank holidays.

We provide tutoring assistance, recreational activities such as arts and crafts, community inclusion, computer activities, and sports, our own transportation from program and an evening snack.

The After-School is a great place for consumers to meet and interact with other consumers with different levels and types of disabilities.
