Day Program

Social Action Center’s Day Hab is located at 665 Pelham Parkway North, Suite 401 and Suite 201. Our Program runs all year round with the exception of national holidays. The program’s running time is 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and our individuals range from ages 21 to 50 years old.
We provide transportation, snacks, and modern activities to stimulate the minds of our individuals as well as entertain them. Our program is geared toward servicing the individual and their collective needs. | |
| We are centrally located, therefore we have many community resources at our disposal. Such resources include: libraries, public transportation, banks, post offices, The Bronx Zoo, The Botanical Gardens, and the many stores located in the shopping area on White Plains Road are all close to the location of our day habilitation program. | |
At Social Action Center, Inc., community inclusion is one of our main priorities. We try to utilize community resources as much as possible so each individual has a sense of acceptance. The more the individuals interact with people in the community the more they will feel accepted within society. | |
| We work with each individual to enhance their reading, writing and computer skills, as well as community awareness, travel training, money management, etc. | |
| Our facility also has two fully equipped computer areas to enhance computer skills and exercise equipment to encourage physical fitness. |
